XXV Purpose
The Society of Twenty Five is an international group made up of some of the finest photographers in the world. Founded in the United States by a group of five leading photographers who wanted to raise the level of their own work by sharing techniques, thoughts and ideas, it now consists of Twenty Five Active members and a number of Emeritus members, all who share the original goals of the founders. Criteria for membership includes excellence in their field, as well as active involvement in community service, and leadership in the photographic industry. Their members include several past Presidents of the Professional Photographers of America, along with other great leaders in the photographic community. They come from four of the world's continents . All are award winning photographers and artists in their respective areas of expertise.
The goal of XXV is to raise the art of photography for the members to new standards through free exchange of ideas and techniques and to increase their business awareness accordingly.
